MUZAFFER ARSLAN

Dr. Muzaffer Arslan was born in 1946 in Kerkuk-Iraq.  In 1974 he obtained doctor of Medicine degree from Ankara University.  He specialized in Anesthesiology and worked in medical field both in Turkey and Germany.

Presently he is a chair person for the Division of Acupuncture at Education and Research Hospital in Ankara-Turkey. He participated, as a panelist, speaker, and researcher, in more than 350 conferences, seminars and panels around the world. His contributions are widely referenced in the literature.

Dr Arslan, besides his scientific activities, held the office of presidency and the general secretary of the Iraq- Turkmen Association between 1965 and 1975. He has founded the Iraqi National Turkmen Party in

1988 together with a group of his friends. He was also elected as the leader by the party congress in 1993. He was personally involved in many active political struggles against the dictatorship regime of Iraq together with many political supporters and friends. Since the foundation of Iraqi National Congress in 1992, he represented Iraqi Turkmens as a member of the executive committee until 1999. He played an important role at Riyadh, Beirut and Salahaddin meetings and activities in London and Washington DC. He represented Iraqi Turkmens at UNPO ( Unrepresented Nations & People Organizations ) located in Lahey-Netherlands since 1992 and assumed the responsibility of UNPO Middle East representative. He is also a member of Iraq National Congress Nomination Committee. Since 2000, Dr. Arslan carries out his political activities independently.
